Overview
Lord Winter's Realm is a co-op event zone in City of Heroes and City of Villains. Formerly characters entered it as part of the Lord Winter activity during the Winter Event. For the 2011 Winter Event it was added to the LFG Menu as a holiday trial for teams of 12 to 36; level 10 or higher.
The zone is actually five different zones for variety: each consisting of part of the iced-over Croatoa map like the one used in the Father Time mission. There is a Magic Portal in each of them allowing players to go from one version to another, which is intended to allow split teams to rejoin, though could be used if players prefer one particular map over the others. There are no Exploration badges or any other zone-specific rewards: it's simply a wintery wasteland filled with Winter Horde goons and Lord Winter himself. Heroes and Villains will both appear in the zone when they enter through the LFG menu and will do battle with Lord Winter together.
Enemy GroupsLord Of The Realm 2 Strategy
Lord Winter's Realm is populated entirely by the Winter Horde. Somewhere in the zone is Lord Winter himself, and he is the main attraction. The other enemies in the zone have a chance to drop Candy Cane Salvage when defeated.
Transfer Points
The only way into Lord Winter's Realm is via the LFG Menu during the Winter Event. Once inside, there is a Magic Portal that transfers players between the five different layouts. The portal is intended to allow split teams to rejoin, though can be used if players prefer one particular map over the others.
Once the event timer reaches zero, all Heroes will be transferred to Atlas Park and all Villains will be transferred to Mercy Island, unless they entered from PvP zones.
Strategy
When the Winter Lord's hit points are reduced to 75%, 50%, and 25%, he will summon the Winter Guardian, a smaller version of himself. It will run toward the players from somewhere on the map. While the Winter Guardian is at large, the Winter Lord is intangible and unable to be damaged. Players must defeat the Winter Guardian each time he spawns before returning to battle the Winter Lord again. When the Winter Lord reaches 0 hit points, the trial is over; all enemies despawn and players are awarded 20 candy canes and 6 reward merits, and have a chance of receiving a 'nice' winter temp power drop.

Lord Of The Realm IiiGame Review
Lords of the Realm II is a strategy meets resource management computer game developed by Impressions Games and published by Sierra On-Line in 1996. It is the second game in the Lords of the Realm series. It is not so much a sequel as it is a remake that features enhanced graphics and improved gameplay mechanics.
The game is set in medieval times and the storyline is just like the first one. The King has died without an heir, leaving his throne ripe for the taking. Lord of the realms 4. Five lords are fighting against each other for control of the throne. You can choose to play as the Baron, the Bishop, the Countess, the Knight, or the Princess and set out on your task to take over the realm. You need to conquer counties and set up your castles to stake your claim. Your citizens do your bidding by farming or fighting and everything in between. The resource management is turn based and the turns are marked by changes in season. Also engage in combat with enemy troops using a variety of unit types, though there are no fantasy folk or mages among their ranks. During combat control a single unit or entire formations at once. You can also skip the battle and let the computer decide the outcome. Claim victory by either capturing the enemy flag or annihilate them all.
Lords of the Realm has a simple interface that is easy to pick up. This game is a good starting point for those new to the genre as there is not as much micromanagement. Though they might want to set the difficulty lower. Challenging and well-balanced, this is a good title for strategy enthusiasts as well.
